About Me

Sophia Renae Myers

Hi! I'm Sophia, a junior at Miami University studying political science and strategic communication. I'm the 2021 Monroe County recipient of the Ohio Governor's Scholarship, a Miami award which covers full tuition and general fees for a top student from each of Ohio’s 88 counties. This scholarship award allowed me to have the opportunity to attend Miami, and is the reason I have had all the incredible experiences below.

I planned and executed 3 conferences with U.S. and State elected officials, while managing 4 social media platforms.

I sit on student panels to promote Miami to prospective students. I serve as a member of a search committee to ensure students have access to high-quality academic support.

Videographer & Photographer 2022-2023

Throughout the 2022-23 school year I did all videography and photography for the local band Tachyons at various performances.

I've been selected to join a team of 11 to work with roughly 270 students in Miami's MJF 105 course by leading small groups and assisting in grading projects.

Cincinnati Flying Pig Half Marathon

I've been running since I was in the 7th grade. Running is how I have learned who I am and I could not be where I am today without my relationship with running.
